Abstrakt: Nanotechnology plays a vital role to in order to enhance the oil and gas recovery in petroleum industries. Nowadays, the demand of nanotechnology has vast prospects in context of the future. This is a precise view of applications of nanotechnology in petroleum industry to improve the production of oil, optimizes parameters of production, drilling, logging, tools which is used for seismic interpretation and increasing the exertion of drilling fluids. Although silica oxide and titanium oxide are most common and effective nanoparticles, but some specific nanoparticles such as coating nanoparticles, functionalized nanoparticles, nano-sensors and nanocomposites are widely used. Applications of nanoparticles in enhanced oil recovery is mainly discussed using characteristics of nanoparticle as additive in drilling fluid for managing the rheology, pH and loss of fluid for example iron oxides, silica oxide, and polymerized acrylamide monomer in presence of titanium oxide. Further use of nanoparticles in cementing, drilling tools for example bits and pipes, perforating is being covered. Moreover, Nanotechnology is considered as the sustainable resource that have the potential to fulfill the future generation demand. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
