The insufficiency of consistent plane ground surface in the hilly region have urged the construction projects on sloping ground. Though the buildings in these regions may behave adversely in comparison with the normal flat ground surface. To overcome these failures, there has to be construction of shear wall in the particular building. Remember the building is situated in the hilly areas so there will be slopes at the base of the building. The paper is reviewed about the seismic evaluation of a school building located in hilly area with the shear wall in the influence of Earthquake. In the paper, seismic assessment of a G+6 storied RC school building on a slope inclination angle of 15o, 20o and 25o with shear wall is analyzed with help of IS 1893 Part 1 – 2016 considering zone II, zone III, zone IV and also zone V for comparison with the moderate soil condition. The modelling and evaluation are concluded on STAAD Pro V8i program. The outcomes included in the study are of floor displacement, storey drift and base shear in the columns. The project will be modelized and analyzed on STAAD Pro V8i software. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
