Postmortem examination revealed a severe Ebstein's anomaly in a 66 year old woman with Stokes-Adams syndrome associated with complete heart block and fatal ventricular arrhythmias. Inability to pace the ventricle effectively was probably related to the bizarre deformity of the tricuspid valve and marked ‘atrialization’ of most of the inflow portion of the right ventricle. The association of Ebstein's anomaly and symptomatic complete heart block in an elderly woman is unique. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
