In a patient with a large ventricular septal defect and right ventricular hypertrophy an apparent aneurysm of the membranous ventricular septum was seen in a left ventricular angiogram. At surgery no aneurysm was found, but a massive hypertrophy of the crista supraventricularis enclosed a small cavity adjacent to the ventricular septal defect.
