Abstrakt: The article's content presents the application of the interaction coefficient theory to the pile group effect analysis problem by determining the ratio of the force distributed to the piles in the group. The interaction coefficient of piles in the group built from the expression of Randolph and Worth (1979) and the stiffness of a single pile is determined according to Gazetas (1991). In this article, considering the case of 9 piles in the foundation, the pile group has a rigid pile cap, not in contact with the ground. The effects of interaction between the piles in the soil lead to an uneven distribution of the load on the piles in the group. Center piles are more affected than other piles, resulting in the lowest load-to-load ratio for these piles. These results are fully consistent with the law and compared with the corresponding results obtained in static load tests of several authors. In the future the interaction coefficient theory results could be applied to develop a new method for determining the length of the pile. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
