To analyse the RF performance of microstrip patch antenna (MPA) using novel coaxial probe fed with coplanar waveguide fed on 50 Ohm characteristics impedance at 10 GHz. Materials and Methods: The RF performance (return loss,VSWR, impedance, Gain) of coaxial probe fed (n=19) with coplanar waveguide fed (n=19) on 50 Ω characteristic impedance. Result: A coaxial probe fed has significantly high performance (Return loss:-23.68, VSWR: 1.24, Impedance: 50.54, Gain: 1.0688, Bandwidth: 462 MHz) than coplanar waveguide fed (Return loss:-19.54 dB, VSWR: 1.879, Impedance: 52.58 Ohm, Gain: 9.59 dBi, Bandwidth: 750 MHz). The optimised dimensions for coaxial probe fed was 10 mm X 9 mm and coplanar waveguide are 50 mm X 50 mm. Attained significant RF performance of p<0.05. Conclusion: The coaxial probe fed has appeared higher RF performance than coplanar waveguide. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
