A nano fluid is a liquid that contains nanoparticles. This research looked at the synthesis and dielectric strength of a 5 percent nickel doped aluminium oxide nanofluid with IS-335 as the base fluid, which is the most often used oil in transformers. Combustion was used to make nickel doped aluminium oxide nanoparticles. X-ray diffraction and EDX were used to identify them. This work investigates the effects of varying nanoparticle concentrations on transformer oil dielectric strength. The nickel doped aluminium oxide nanoparticles will raise the breakdown strength of the base oil by 64.28 percent, hence improving the transformer oil's breakdown strength. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
