You could call this a "semi-formal" garden, says landscape designer Tim Abrahams, considering how best to describe his terrace courtyard. The planting is diverse, blending formal and informal elements, he adds. The effect is breathtaking, with rich green foliage complementing vivid floral displays, all contained within high walls. It is the perfect spot to spend a relaxed afternoon or evening with family and friends. Rectangular in shape, and measuring about six by eight metres, his garden is located directly off the combined kitchen and dining room. Its two distinct levels were designed for added interest. |
