The article describes the case of a pediatric patient with secondary severe bone marrow aplasia who developed pneumatosis intestinalis (PI) following a second allogeneic hematopoeitc cell transplantation (allo-HCT). Topics discussed include clinical characteristics of PI, risk factors for PI, and the probably mechanism of developing PI after allo-HCT. |
