The article presents the theoretical foundations of the interaction of electromagnetic and acoustic fields with a saturated porous medium. Electromagnetically, an oil-saturated formation is a non-magnetic dielectric. The existence of a liquid (oil) and a solid (rock skeleton) phaseы causes the appearance of two longitudinal waves (fast and slow) and one transverse wave during the propagation of elastic fields in such media.
