Mujair fish is one type of freshwater fish found in Lake Tondano, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province which is in great demand by the public for consumption. The production of mujair fish is affected by the presence of pests and diseases. One of the diseases that attack mujair fish is a fungus. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics and prevalence of fungi found in Mujair fish in Lake Tondano. This study uses a survey method through direct sampling which is determined intentionally or by purposive sampling method. Fish samples were taken randomly (random sampling). Isolation, characteristics, and identification of fungi were carried out using the stratified dilution method. The fungi that have been identified can then be determined by the percentage of prevalence using the formula. Data is presented in the form of figures and tables. This research was carried out for 1 year. Based on the identification results obtained 7 families and 9 species of fish fungus (Rhizopus oryzae, Mucor hiemalis, Aspergillus sp., Saprolegnia sp., Ochroconis sp., Lagenidium sp., Trichoderma harzianum, Fusarium oxysporum, and Mucor sp). Fish mushroom characterization based on conidia density obtained the highest range of CFU/ml spore numbers in R. oryzae (0.00x10−6--5.00x10−6), while the lowest was in 4 species of fish fungus, namely F. oxysporum, Aspergillus sp., Saprolegnia. sp., and Lagenedium sp. with each having a range of 0.00x10−6--0.50x10−6.
