Abstrakt:	Should research be the cornerstone of psychotherapeutic theory, practice and training; and, if so, what do we mean by "research"? So, whilst aspects of phenomenology could be of interest, a response to fully adopting any particular author's version of it might be the same as any other theory: best to start with practice than any phenomenological theory but then be open to considering some phenomenological possibilities.
