One of the causes of water quality decline is the presence of heavy metals in the waters. Copper, as one of the important factors used to keep regular existence sports, performs an crucial function in many organic techniques and systems. However, it will become an environmental pollutant at high concentrations. Biosorption is an alternative method to remove heavy metal contamination in solution. Biosorption with langsat shell biosorbent was immobilized using sodium silica in the form of dry powder. The immobilized langsat shell can improve the performance of the biosorbent in biosorption, increase absorption, and can be regenerated without damaging the structure of the biosorbent used. In this study using the batch method, which examines variations in pH and concentration. The results obtained from this study, the optimum condition occurs at pH 4 with an absorption capacity value of 17.3125 mg/g and a concentration of 550 mg/L with an absorption capacity value of 20.1375 mg/g. maximum absorption capacity was obtained from the absorption of Cu metal ions using immobilized langsat. shell as a biosorbent, which is 20.284 mg/g.
