Abstrakt: Two new heterometallic coordination polymers, namely {[(CH3)2NH2]3[Cd3Na3(5-NO2-ip)6(H2O)2]}n (1) and {[(CH3)2NH2][CdRb(5-NO2-ip)2]}n (2) (5-NO2-H2ip = 5-nitroisophthalic acid), have been synthesized via the solvothermal reactions of 5-NO2-H2ip and Cd(NO3)2·4H2O in the combination with NaNO3 or RbNO3. The structural analysis results exhibited that the two compounds crystallized in the monoclinic space group of C2/c and exhibit 3D anionic frameworks balanced by the disordered dimethylamine cations. Both compounds reported here show strong blue luminescence at room temperature, which may be acted as good blue luminescent materials. Their application values on the cancer prevention and treatment were evaluated, followed by the mechanism exploration. The assay of CCK-8 indicated that the 1 was much stronger than that of 2 on the inhibition of the proliferation of cancer cells. The cancer cell apoptosis was also induced by compound 1, but not compound 2. Additionally, the HMGB1 receptor relative expression in immune cells was suppressed by complex 1, which is much more excellent than compound 2. In the end, the expression levels of Bcl-2 in cancer cells were also evidently suppressed via 1. Above all, it can be concluded that the 1 was much more superior to 2 on the cancer treatment.
