The socio-philosophical and sociological aspects of the study of left-wing radicalism and anarchism in Ukraine are analyzed. It was concluded that the vast majority of researchers tend to equate this phenomenon with social destruction, which has a significant conflict-causing potential and provokes conflicts with difficult to predict consequences. The socio-psychological matrix of radicalism in the context of such interpretations appears as a set of spontaneous affective reactions of people to events taking place in society.
