Description of the riddle in the form of the date given by Ursus at the end of the dedicatory letter he addressed to Moritz, Landgraf of Hessen-Kassel; Symbols used by Ursus in indicating the date; Scholar's interpretation of the symbols; Ursus' display of his astronomical expertise in giving a lighthearted indication of the date. |
