Abstrakt: "He told me a blood vessel had burst in my brain, and that was affecting the right hemisphere", Wilson recalled. With help from his therapist and fellow black belt Dr. Brad Garret, Wilson managed to wiggle his fingers after three months, but they still were so weak that he couldn't even squeeze toothpaste out of a tube. Update from Terry L. Wilson: "The therapists are so impressed with the progress I've made using martial arts that they want to put me in their speakers' forum to talk to others who have had strokes and brain injuries." The doc said Wilson's brain was at war with his body and had attacked his right arm, right hand, right leg and face, as well as his ability to speak. [Extracted from the article]
