Kinetic and thermodynamic studies of Cd(II), Cu(II) and Ni (II) removal in ternary system using ϒ-Al2O3.

Abstrakt: Metal oxides are widely used in adsorption technology as sorbents due to their high efficiency and low cost. This study aims to clarify the role of aluminum oxide nanomaterial in removing Cd(II), Cu(II) and Ni (II)) ions from their aqueous solutions in ternary system. This research also includes the effect of some adsorption parameters such as contact time, temperature, the amount of adsorption on percentage removal. The kinetic and thermodynamic models of adsorption, was mentioned as well. The highest removal rates obtained for the three ions are 93.048% for Cd (II), 94.196% for Cu (II) and 94.229% for Ni (II).
