The activation of intrinsic apoptotic pathways by targeting gold nanoparticles to cancer cells is promising, but inducing cancer cell apoptosis is a major challenge in developing cancer therapies. We describe an in vitro technique that uses conjugate the gold-nanoparticles through cell-penetration peptide to target the lung cancer cells and investigate the effects on apoptosis induction. in a biomedicine area While the impact of bio-compatible peptides conjugated GNP to cell response is remain unknown, the present work, AuNPs and AuNPs-RGD were tested as typical samples to examine cytotoxic effect in the lung cancer of human. The preparation of AuNPs and AuNPs-RGD was established through a UV-visible, FTIR, and SEM. AuNPs, AuNPs-RGD have cytotoxic properties and induce apoptosis in A457 cells, as measured by cytochrome C release and Acridine Orange and Ethidium Bromide assays. Our findings suggest that GNP-RGD has significant tumor-targeted efficacy through higher levels of translocated cytochrome C from the mitochondria to the cytosol and apoptosis-induced cell death. Our results indicate that AuNPs-RGD may have a therapeutic effect as a new cancer drug that need to more recognized and used to provide effective targeting therapy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
