Abstrakt: The aim of this work is to analyze the alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) market in Poland, to identify barriers and opportunities for their development, and to explain why the level of interest in purchasing electric cars among the average consumer has been very low so far. In our work, we have used data obtained from publicly available market reports and scientific works from Poland and abroad. In particular, we present the results of a quantitative study conducted on a sample of N = 1002 adult Poles and discuss what factors are important for the further development of AFV in Poland. Our analysis proves that the price of AFV, safety and access to charging stations are among the most important factors that influence the development of this market segment. Some recommendations regarding marketing strategies for car sellers from the automotive industry have been given based in the conducted research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
