Abstrakt: Recurrent temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dislocation comes under the umbrella term temporomandibular disorders which encompasses a multitude of different conditions causing pain and dysfunction of the TMJ. It has been traditionally treated with conservative or surgical options with a shift toward using regenerative therapy like platelet-rich plasma in recent years. Our case report is of a 31-year-old man who presented with pain in the left TMJ associated with locking. The history, clinical examination, and radiographs pointed toward a most likely diagnosis of recurrent TMJ dislocation. It was decided to try dextrose prolotherapy in treating the condition in view of his inability to afford further investigations or routine treatment. The patient had a relief of symptoms with no further dislocation in the ongoing follow-up period of 8 months. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
