This paper represents a theoretical overview of the importance of the inclusion of culture into the language learning process. Teaching English as a Foreign Language is incomplete without the integration of culture in the classroom. The intertwining of culture and language will be the focal point of this paper, by addressing certain cultural aspects in English Language Teaching. Additionally, approaches to teaching the culture of the target language in the EFL classroom will be reviewed and supported with examples. Moreover, both teacher and student awareness of the teaching and learning of culture alongside of language will be emphasized. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
