Abstrakt: Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) is a debilitating side effect of antiresorptive and antiangiogenic medications used to treat osteoporosis and the complications of bone metastasis of several cancers. This manuscript reviews the mechanisms of current drug therapies that exacerbate MRONJ and highlights the most promising treatment options available today. We also discuss new intriguing developments for the treatment of MRONJ that may further improve patient outcomes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
