Indonesia is recognized as an exporter of CPO (crude palm oil) and the largest variety of palm oil refined products in the world. Remote sensing has the potential to assist in the process of monitoring oil palm plantations, which can also be used to increase the productivity of oil palm plantations. There are cloud problems that often include Indonesia, causing the need for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite data. The purpose of this study is to develop the model of oil palm age with Sentinel 1-A imagery. The data was used Sentinel-1A and field data. The methodology includes preprocessing with georeferencing, multilooking and speckle filtering using Lee filter, then decomposed using built-in entropy decomposition function with the polarimetric method the H-Alpha decomposition was implemented in assisting predict the age of palm oil. The H-Alpha which provides to optimally use the information contained in polarimetric-SAR data based on eigenvalue analysis to obtain estimates of entropy, anisotropy, and alpha angle. The result showed the entropy r2=0.66, and the anisotropy parameter with r2=0.84, and the alpha parameter showed r=0.57. It means the parameters of entropy and alpha angle have moderate correlation with age of oil palm, and anisotropy parameter have a strong correlation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
