Several of us in the Marcos Owners' Club - including club founder Colin Feyerabend - had interests beyond the cars produced by Jem Marsh. Letter of the month CHAMPION OF THE UNDERDOG It was a nice surprise to open the latest issue of C&SC (January) and find you guys having a metaphorical coffee with Peter Filby. Brian liked the shape of the car, which was styled by Frank Costin, who was famous for the design of the de Havilland Mosquito during WW2, and he sent a letter to Jem Marsh enquiring whether he had considered fitting a Rover V8. That was enough for Brian, who struck a deal whereby he would get a cheaper car, but it would involve trips along the A303 to Westbury, Wiltshire, to resolve fitment issues and make a note of any changes.
