Abstrakt:	This article reviews the evidence and summarizes practical considerations regarding the clinical management of patients with comorbid opioid use disorder (OUD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD). It follows two hypothetical patients through various stages of treatment. Topics discussed include decision-making in the emergency setting, disposition of patients in alcohol and opioid withdrawal, and buprenorphine for OUD.
