After naming Anacamptis morio as Plant of the year 2021 we decided to verify 37 previously reported localities of the species in the southern part of Bohemia. We did not confirm the presence of A. morio at twelve sites. Seven localities with presence of the species were in bad condition (not managed or unsuitably managed). At 18 sites A. morio was present and management seemed to meet the main ecological demands of the species. Populations of A. morio decrease rapidly in abandoned grasslands after cessation of mowing or grazing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
