Abstrakt: The variety Evridika is bred in the Maritsa Vegetable Crops Research Institute, Plovdiv, by the method of individual clone selection in the hybrid progeny of line ML 81.20/118N and Liu. It is approved by the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria in 2021. The variety forms 12-14 mid-large tubers. The tubers are round-oval with yellow netlike skin, shallow eyes and yellow flesh, with very good cooking and market properties. They possess russet gene determining their high adaptability for industrial processing. Mid-early variety suitable for mid-early and late production. It is characterized with high potential for yield (over 4000 kg/da). The dry matter content is within 22-23%, starch 16-17% and reducing sugars 0.15- 0.20%. It is characterized with very good taste and non-discolored flesh. Evridika is suitable for fresh consumption and French-fried potatoes. The variety possesses high field resistance to virus diseasesand tuber blight (Phytophthora infestans). It is resistant to potato cyst nematodes Globodera rostochiensis.
