Abstrakt: The prevalence of resistance to broad-spectrum anthelmintics among veterinary important helminths has dramatically increased in last three decades in livestock production in many countries. Indiscriminate and improper use of anthemintics without proper diagnosis has led to development of resistance across the globe. A variety of in-vivo, in-vitro and modern molecular techniques have been developed for the detection of helminth population resistant to the particular anthelmintic group. Managemental strategy is one of most powerful, sustainable and eco-friendly technique among the control methods for helminth parasites, by which we can prevent the development of anthelmintic resistance and would get wholesome animal products. Biological control, phytoanthelmintic and potent vaccine candidate against animal parasite could become a strong weapon for a viable alternative sustainable control of parasites of veterinary importance in near future.
