As a result of the research of the factory technology for the restoration of parts of the rolling stock coupling device in the conditions of "Electric locomotives assembly factory" LLP (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan), it is revealed that it is not always possible to maintain the original hardness of the cladding material after cladding or machining. In order to solve this issue, the authors propose methods of thermal friction machining, traditional thermal friction milling and thermal friction milling with pulse cooling. In this paper, the results of temperature distribution in the "toolworkpiece" contact in different methods of thermal friction milling are presented. Scientific and practical interest is the temperature during the deep machining the workpiece. This is because the hardness of the surface treated by thermal friction milling can be assessed by its result. The process has been simulated using the Machining module of the Deform 3D software package. As a result, the depth of the temperature distribution deep into the workpiece and the temperature values in the cutting zone have been established. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
