Abstrakt: The male Rüppell's behaviour of dismantling a nest is known, but it usually happens when the female rejects the nest, and the male would build a new nest with green material. Sir, In this report we describe the agonistic interaction observed between two species of passeriform birds, Rüppell's weaver, I Ploceus galbula i Rüppell, 1840 (Ploceidae) and Abyssinian white-eye, I Zosterops abyssinicus i Guyérin-Ménaville, 1843 in Salalah, southern Oman (17.0507° N, 54.1066° E). Even when the male Rüppell's was engaging the white-eye pair, the female Ruppell's brought blades of grass and continued to line the nest 3. [Extracted from the article]
