Endometriosis is a gynecological disease experienced by women, especially during reproductive age. Endometriosis treatment is still less effective considering the side effects and high recurrence rate. Phaleria macrocarpa (PM) is a plant that has bioactivity, such as antioxidants and angiogenesis. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of flavonoid isolates from Phaleria macrocarpa fruit extract on Superoxide Dismustase (SOD) and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) levels in endometriosis mice. Thirty female mice (Mus musculus) were divided into 6 groups, including the control group (without any treatment), Endometriosis/EMT (without PM), and EMT with flavonoid isolation from PM extract at a dose of 3.75; 7.5; 11.2; 15 mg/day. The sample used in this study was peritoneal fluid. Examination of SOD and VEGF levels was carried out using the ELISA method. The results show an increase in SOD levels and a decrease in VEGF levels in the peritoneal fluid of endometriosis mice compared to the control group (without any treatment). Flavonoid isolation from P.macrocarpa can increase SOD levels and reduce VEGF levels in Endometriosis mice. Thus, P. macrocarpa can be used as an alternative to suppress the growth of endometriosis.
