A laboratory experiment was conducted on 10/24/2021 at the Seed Examination and Certification Department / Nineveh of the Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture, where the seeds of two local cultivars of chickpea (Kabuli and Daisy) were incubated and soaked in water and bacterial solution for 1.5 hours in the plant and a Complete random design (C.R.D) was used with three repetitions. The following traits were measured: germination percentage after the first count (4 days), percentage of germination after the second count (8 days), root length, stalk length, root fresh weight, root dry weight, stalk dry weight, seed vigour index after the second count. From the results of the factors, it was found that there was a significant superiority of the Kabuli variety over the Daisy variety, and the superiority of soaking with water over soaking with bacterial solution for most of the studied characters. The interventions recorded significant differences, especially the interaction between Kabuli cultivar and soaking with bacterial solution. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
