Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study which aimed to identify collaborative cross mouse strains permissive to Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi infection. Topics covered include a comparison of the genetic variation of the infection in humans and in single inbred strain of mice, the genetic diversity of the Collaborative Cross (CC) recombinant inbred strain, and strains that can help identify the genetic basis for typhoid susceptibility, S. Typhi virulence mechanism.
