Abstrakt: |
This research aims to study leaves as traditional food packaging that is environmentally friendly in traditional markets. Studies include figuring out the types of leaves and packaging techniques on traditional foods. In addition, this study also revealed the practices of changing traditional food packaging that initially leaves into plastic. This study uses survey methods conducted in December 2019 in.Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia, in several traditional markets. The Traditional Market in question is Merapi Valley Market, Bandongan Market, Kebon Watu Gede Market, and Rejowinangun Market. The data was obtained through field observation sheets, questionnaires, and interviews. The data is then analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner. The results showed that some types of leaves used are mainly derived from banana plants (Musa balbisiana), Jati (Tectona grandis), Coconut (Cocos nucifera), Pandan (Pandanus amaryllifolius), and Bambu(Bambusa sp). The packaging process is done manually folding and rolling techniques to form varied, distinctive and unique packaging. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
