Abstrakt: This study aims to describe the results of the analysis of students' mathematical proficiency in solving contextual mathematics problems with a linear program of two variables in terms of self-expressive learning and understanding learning styles. This study uses a qualitative approach and the type of descriptive research conducted in class XI of Senior High School. The results of the tests and interviews are analyzed based on the components of mathematical proficiency. The results of this study indicate that the Self-Expressive Learning (SL) and Understanding Learning (UL) style groups achieved excellent percentages in each component of their mathematical proficiency, but the UL learning style group obtained lower percentages in several components of the SL learning style. (1) In conceptual understanding, the SL group has been able to take all the steps of completion and has a very good understanding. Meanwhile, the UL group has not yet taken all the completion steps and only a few concepts of completion are well understood. (2) In procedural fluency, the SL and UL groups have been able to determine when and how a procedure is used, but the UL group still lacks more in it. (3) In strategic competence, the SL and UL groups have been able to formulate problems, present them, and find solutions, but the UL groups still have many shortcomings in them. (4) In adaptive reasoning, the SL and UL groups were able to make correct conclusions and were able to explain the reasons for the conclusions they made. (5) Finally, on the productive disposition, the SL and UL groups have had a positive view of linear programming material. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
