Abstrakt: Job satisfaction is a crucial factor for fostering productivity and quality performance, especially in educational institutions where the performance of academics is associated with the future of students. This study aimed to analyze the determinant of job satisfaction among academics of Public Sector Universities in Quetta city. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between self-esteem, psychological capital, social capital, and job satisfaction of academics. Furthermore, it was found that social capital play mediating role between psychological capital, self-esteem, and job satisfaction of academics. This study can be implemented in educational institutions as well as other organizations in managing and developing motivational tendencies among academics and employees. Finally, the recommendations for increasing the job satisfaction of academics were provided based on the findings of this study. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
