Abstrakt: This article discusses the pathogenesis of graft-versus-host reaction in chicken embryos. Descriptions of the graft-versus-host reaction in the chicken embryo stress the development of proliferative lesions in various intra-embryonic haemopoietic tissues and in the chorio-allantoic membrane. An examination of the levels of some lysosomal enzymes in the circulating blood was carried out, since tissue injury is frequently accompanied by release of lysosomal enzymes into the tissue fluids. In normal chicken embryos excessive blood loss from minor breaches of the vessel wall is usually prevented by the formation of a thrombocyte plug.
