Abstrakt: The World Heritage List itself The Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage establishes a list of properties that have outstanding universal value, called the World Heritage List. Any large landscape area on Earth - and World Heritage sites tend characteristically to be "large" when you consider the sweeping African savannah, the giant Mt Everest, and the aptly-named Great Barrier Reef - comes with a collection of challenges. FEATURES The 50th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention is important for Australian wildlife THE IDEA of creating an international movement for protecting heritage emerged after World War One.
