Abstrakt: In 2030 the elderly population in Malaysia is about 15%. This indicator reveals that Malaysia will become a “Negara Tua” within next 8 years. This situation become various challenges and need to prepare regarding the religion and education sectors. Hence, there are many studies conducted related to the elderly, however the study pertaining lifelong learning for elderly based on Islamic structure and tradition, epistemology and andragogy is limited, while their passion to learning are very high. Due to this situation, it leads to a lot of problems in the content, structure and method. Therefore, based on content analysis method, this article will analyze some aspects of Islamic epistemology based on Malay manuscripts. Two selected Malay manuscripts as a research sample are chosen in analysing thematically the epistemological issues including the concept of knowledge and its classification. These epistemological issues are greatest important to construct the structure and content of lifelong learning for elderly. This finding can be further discussed in details to construct the lifelong learning for elderly in line with “Dasar Warga Emas Negara (DWEN)” and “Pelan Tindakan Warga Emas Negara (PWTEN)” [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
