| Abstrakt: | A biography of fiction writer Joan Leegant is presented. Leegant was born in 1951 in Westbury, New York. She began writing fiction before she turned 40 years old. The stories included in her first book "An Hour in Paradise" were written over a four-year-period and first appeared in literary magazines. Her achievements are mentioned. She sought a Master of Fine Arts (FMA) degree at Vermont College after about seven years of writing essays, songs, poems, and various nonfiction. |
