| Abstrakt: | A biography of fiction writer Jane Hamilton is presented. Hamilton was born on July 13, 1957 in Oak Park, Illinois. Her father was an engineer and her mother was a theater critic. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English at Carleton College in Minnesota and secured a position in the children's fiction division of a publishing house in New York. Her works include "The Book of Ruth," "A Map of the World," and "The Short History of a Prince." |
