| Abstrakt: | A biography of crime fiction author Valerie Wilson Wesley is presented. Wesley was born on November 22, 1947 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Howard University in 1970. She married fellow writer Richard Wesley and the had two children. She and her works, which began in 1994, have won several awards and honors. Her principal series character is Tamara Hayle, an African American woman. Her novel "Dying in the Dark" is discussed. |
