| Abstrakt: | A biography of crime fiction author Louis Owens is presented. Owens was born on July 18, 1948 in Lompoc, California to Hoey Owens and Ida Owens. His works express observations from his mixed-blood perspective about contemporary American culture. He wrote autobiographically of his working-class childhood and his family history in "Mixedblood Messages" and "I Hear the Train." His novels including "Bone Game" and "The Sharpest Sight" are discussed. |
