Abstrakt: In the article, the authors present a retrospective cohort study which examined the real-world safety and efficacy data of the Pregnancy-IVI variable rate intravenous insulin (VRII) protocol in regional obstetric hospitals and tertiary-referral hospitals in Australia, particularly with respect to the risk of maternal hypoglycaemia in women with diabetes in pregnancy (DIP). Based on data, the protocol is safe and effective in both high-volume tertiary centres and lower volume centres.
