Abstrakt: The article offers information on the Burkholderia pseudomallei, causative agent of melioidosis. It further discusses that the B. pseudomallei, detected in dead raccoon linked to multistate aromatherapy associated melioidosis outbreak; no evidence of environmental contamination by B. pseudomallei from the buried carcass; and also mentions about the samples tested for B. pseudomallei by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and cultured by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
