Abstrakt: The ideal and actual cycles of an aircraft gas-turbine engine (Brayton cycles) are analyzed. The basic measures increasing the actual effective work of the cycle and decreasing the fuel consumption are noted. The analysis shows that the overall efficiency of the cycle may be increased by employing the maximum possible gas temperature and large pressure rise. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
