It is important to identify patients with AD and who have FS to provide them with better social support, reduce the mental burden and increase acceptance of the disease. Stigma in dermatology is a social construction that defines people in terms of a distinguishing characteristic or mark, and devalues them as a consequence.[1] Feeling of stigmatization (FS) was reported in chronic skin diseases such as psoriasis,[2] hidradenitis suppurativa,[3] alopecia,[4] vitiligo[5] and rosacea.[6] There is little information on the experience of stigma in patients with AD. This may be explained by the greater importance of appearance and the social pressure faced by younger patients.[10] In our study, we reported a lack of self-esteem of FS patients.
