Adhesion Properties of Polyethylene and Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate Copolymer Blend with Acrylate Copolymers of Ethylene.

Abstrakt: The influence of the blend composition of alkyl acrylate copolymers of ethylene with high-pressure polyethylene and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer on the properties of mixed compositions has been studied. It is revealed that the content of acrylate units in the acrylate copolymer and the size of the alkyl radical affect the characteristics of the compositions. It has been established that the strength of the adhesive contact with steel of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers with ethylene-acrylate copolymers blend is significantly (1.6–4.8 times) higher than the additive values, which makes them promising for practical use as adhesives.
