Abstrakt: The article presents a discussion on observations on action in favor of the child of 3 to 6 years in Senegal. In Senegal, the preschool period, which can last up to 8 or 9 rears of age, is of prime importance in the life of the child. The boy or girl, under the Influence of the women and the family, acquires the basic notions essential to living within his traditional society. However, when the child starts school at 7 or 8 years of age, the operative mechanisms, which govern his ability to read, to study grammar, mathematics etc., will not have been sufficiently developed by the time spent within his family and social circle. Moreover, in cases where a neo-urban sub-culture is created, the place of the child is lost in traditional education, physical relationships control contact with objects and the human relationship is privileged. In the shantytown environment, the life of the child must be organized to fit in with calm periods when he is forced to remain seated or lie still and keep silent, and active periods when he runs in the streets with his companions. The preschool system appears in the majority of cases to be the cheapest way of soothing the guilt felt by social organizations.
